Thanks for the info, davegb3! After doing so, gpup.exe asked for permission when running, and was finally successful in updating other plugins. The problem was resolved by manually updating to Plugin Manager 0.9.3.1, as suggested by davegb3. Even running Notepad++ with Admin privileges did not help. One remaining hassle is that the encoding will keep reverting to ANSI when you open a file.I was having the same problem on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, with the same Plugin Manager pop-up appearing each time I ran Notepad++, and it never properly updated the listed items. You need to copy and paste from a different source for Emoji to work right in Npp.Įnabling DirectWrite will immediately improve the display of emoji. By default, emoji don’t work very well in Notepad++ and font ligatures don’t work at all.
